The Golden Scarf

This is a subject that I'm sure has been blogged to death already. The many fashion miracles that you can perform with a scarf.  As much as I Google it, I can't seem to find one definitive site on the miracle of the scarf.  I have a really long one, It's about 5.5 feet long and a little over 2 feet wide.  it cost me 7 dollars at Walmart. These are just some of my favorite ways to wear it as a top.  That's not all my miracle scarf is capable of though. I've worn it as a sarong, a headband, a head scarf on bad hair days, a belt, I wear it several ways as the scarf it was meant to be, and the list goes on. All I need are a few small accessories to make it completely new. Sometimes, not even that. Here are 5 ways I like to wear it as a top and just in case you think I'm pulling your leg, I added a pic of the scarf laid out in full, ^_^ and the only 2 accessories I used.

 Please excuse the mess. My roommate doesn't understand the concept of neatness and I can't for the life of me remember how to crop.

Being Crafty

So I've been cooped up in my room for weeks now, (by choice), and last night I decided that if I was going to spend so much time in my own company I might as well start doing crafts again.  Great decision.  I made one whole funky pendant/cute keychain and I started on a dress that I'm going to finish later.  I won't show the dress till it's done but I have a photo of the funky pendant/cute keychain.  I plan to make a lot more of crafts, They're really easy and really fun.  I'll upload the pics when I'm done and if anyone's interested just ask and I'll upload tutorials too.

Cute isn't it.  I'm a bit eclectic so I very well may wear it as a pendant, but I like it as a keychain too.

Design Frustrations

So I just spent a good two hours editing the design of the blog. I wanted a cleaner look and I wanted the information to be more easily accessible, (You can blame my Basic Web Design class for that).  The vast majority of my time was spent trying to get the picture in my header off. For the past hour I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how I got it on there in the first place.  Finally, I figured it out. All I had to do was click the edit link in the header part when designing the layout. The really horrible part though is that I clicked on the edit link in the header TWICE before and didn't notice the picture not ONCE. Definitely time to get my glasses changed.  

In other design news, I added a music gadget for you guys. I thought it would be nice to share some of the stuff I listen to with you guys. So while I was trying to figure out the whole header thing I was also finding and uploading music to this music player gadget that I found on quicksnack.com. I finished the whole damn thing, (It took me an hour), only to find out that it'll only play 5 minute of the first 5 songs. So now I'm wondering what the hell I did all that for. Give me time though and I WILL find a way to play the whole playlist.
